Well.. the camera is pretty cool. It’s nice to know that there is no tape to wear out, no disc to mess up. It’s all recorded on SD. Then to my computer, the backed up to several different places. My only complaint, it encodes in Quicktime. While the quality is good and the file is small, editing them is quite the hassle. Here is a sample of what it can do, converted to MPEG, then to FLV for you viewing pleasure. (Yes the quality has been degraded purposefully.)

I had to get me a video camera, as the one I had access to was lost in the life change.  I wanted one that was all digital.  No physical medium to speak of.  So, like any good nerd, I found what was the coolest thing I could afford, which at this point in my life isn’t much.  I’m going to use some my Christmas money to help me pay for it but if it let’s me record my kids as they grow up then it is worth every penny and then some. I got this little Sanyo.  Check it out.  Videos to come.
